Relive the saga of Rollo and the birth of Normandy
Rouen, an iconic city in Norman history, is seeing a revival of the viking spirit thanks to renewed cultural, historical and tourist interest. The opening of the Cité Immersive Viking on the city’s quayside in June 2024 is a perfect illustration of this phenomenon.
Located in Hangar 105, this space offers an interactive journey retracing the viking saga, the founding of the Duchy of Normandy and the legacy of Rollo, the Scandinavian chieftain who became Count of Rouen in 911. The Cité Immersive Viking combines scenography, authentic objects, interactive displays and educational content, offering a unique experience for visitors of all ages.
