The new season is here, but that doesn’t mean the outings and discoveries have to stop! This September, enjoy a cultural and immersive experience in Rouen and travel back in time at the Cité Immersive Viking.
History, spectacular projections, immersive sets and captivating stories: embark on a journey into the heart of Viking history in Normandy. And to take the adventure even further, a very special event awaits you this month: William’s Banquet, taking place on Saturday 19 September in Eu.
A viking-Inspired September in Rouen

At the Cité Immersive Viking, visitors of all ages can follow in the footsteps of those who shaped the region’s history.
Explore the story of the Vikings and Normandy through 5 immersive spaces, combining historical sets, archaeological artefacts, games, filmed portraits and audiovisual installations.
The journey ends in the spectacular Hall of Dreams: a 185 m² space featuring 14 4K projectors, 360° projections and immersive sound for a truly spectacular finale.

September’s Highlight: William’s Banquet
What if, this time, you didn’t just discover history… but actually took a seat at its table?
On Saturday 19 September, head to Eu in Normandy for an unforgettable evening at William’s Banquet.
Under a large open-air marquee, only 150 guests will gather for a true medieval feast. But don’t expect just a simple dinner!
For three hours, enjoy music, dancing, knights, combat displays and characters in period costume as you journey back to the time of William, before ending the evening with a spectacular torchlit procession.
A Feast Full of Entertainment
The meal, prepared by Normandie Réception, includes a choice of two starters, two main courses and two desserts, as well as one drink.
From the moment you arrive, characters in period costume will welcome you and set the scene for the evening.
Throughout the banquet, Marina Lys will provide live musical entertainment, while combat displays, knights and other performances bring the feast to life.
Your ticket includes much more than dinner: it gives you access to the banquet and all the entertainment throughout this immersive medieval evening.
As night falls, guests will leave the table and join a torchlit procession, bringing this journey back through the centuries to a memorable close.

William’s Banquet: Practical Information

🎟️ How much does it cost?
€50 per adult and €19 per child aged 0 to 12. The price includes the meal and all the evening’s entertainment.
👥 How many places are available?
Only 150 places are available for this special evening.
🕯️ How does the banquet end?
At 10:00 pm, guests will be invited to join a torchlit procession to bring the evening to a memorable close.
