Extend your visit to the Cité Immersive Viking

After your journey through the heart of the viking world, continue the experience with a tasting inspired by the flavours of the Middle Ages.

From 14 to 19 July, the Cité Immersive Viking in Rouen is offering a culinary experience to enjoy at the end of your visit. Adults will discover a wine crafted using reimagined medieval recipes, whilst younger visitors can sample a non-alcoholic elixir designed to let them share in the experience.

An original way to round off your immersion by exploring another facet of medieval daily life: its flavours.

💡 Did you know?

In the Middle Ages, wine was often flavoured with spices such as cinnamon, ginger, cloves and pepper. These blends were very popular at banquets and also helped to preserve the drinks for longer. The recipes on offer today draw inspiration from these traditions, allowing visitors to discover flavours from a bygone era.
