  • What are the opening hours of the Cité Immersive Viking?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is open on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM; from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM. The Cité Immersive Viking is closed on Mondays.

 

  • Is the exhibition permanent or temporary?
    • Our experience is permanent and open all year round, except on the following public holidays: December 25, January 1, and May 1.

 

  • Does the Cité Immersive Viking have on-site parking?
    • Yes, parking is available less than 200 meters from the establishment, near Hangar 106.

 

  • How can I get to the Cité Immersive Viking?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is located on the ground floor of Hangar 105 bis (below the coworking space), at the foot of the Guillaume le Conquérant bridge; on the left bank of the Seine. It is a 15-minute walk from the city center.
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is accessible by public transportation:
      • Bus: line 33 – “Hangars” stop
      • Tramway: line T4, “Orléans” or “Belges” stop
      • Metro: Joffre Mutualité stop
      • Boat: Calypso, “Hangars” stop
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is accessible by car, and parking is available for visitors.
    • Paris – Rouen – Le Havre axis: the Cité Immersive Viking is located in close proximity to the A13 (Sud III) and A150 (Pont Flaubert).

 

  • Are there shops or cafes inside the venue?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking has a shop at the end of the tour, inside the venue, allowing visitors to extend the experience and take home Viking treasures. Several restaurants are available within 50 meters of the Cité Immersive Viking.

 

  • Can I bring a picnic or lunch to eat on site?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking does not have dining areas, and food is not allowed within the exhibition. However, several restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity of the venue.

Ticketing and reservations

  • Are there any discounted rates?
    • Yes, we offer a reduced rate of €12.50 for seniors over 65 years old, job seekers, people with disabilities, and free admission for their companions.

 

  • Is it necessary to book tickets in advance, and how can I do it?
    • You can purchase tickets in advance on our online ticketing platform: Cité Immersive Viking Ticketing. You can also buy tickets on-site, although availability cannot be guaranteed.

 

  • I have tickets purchased from my works council (CE). Do I need to book a ticket?
    • If you have paper tickets from your CE, it is not necessary to book your ticket online. However, please check the validity date: if it is less than one year old, your ticket is valid; if it is more than one year old, your ticket has expired and you will need to purchase a new one.
      If you have a promotional code, you must book your ticket online by entering the code in the designated field on the ticketing site. If there is an error, please contact the Marketing department.

 

  • Can I pay for my tickets with holiday/culture vouchers?
    • Payment with holiday vouchers or culture vouchers is not yet possible but will be implemented soon.

 

  • What payment methods can I use to purchase my ticket?
    • You can pay for your ticket online by credit card and on-site with cash or credit card. For professional groups, payment by bank transfer and/or check is also possible.

 

  • Are guided tours available, and how can I book a tour?
    • The visit is self-guided through all exhibition spaces. There are no guided tours at the Cité Immersive Viking.

  • I would like to book tickets for an event at the Cité Immersive Viking. How do I do it?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking regularly organizes public events. You can select your event and book tickets via this link: ticketing site

 

  • Is there free admission for certain visitors?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking offers free admission for children aged 0 to 6 years inclusive. Proof of age may be required at the ticket office when the cashier issues the ticket.
    • The Cité Immersive Viking also offers free admission for the companion of a person with disabilities, as well as one companion for every eight students in school groups.

 

  • The dates I want are sold out. Can I make a purchase on-site?
    • When time slots are fully booked, you can choose another time slot. The Cité Immersive Viking welcomes visitors with reservable tickets every 15 minutes to smooth entry and avoid long queues.

 

  • Where can I find my online order?
    • You can find your online order through your personal account by following the instructions here: ticketing site

 

  • Do I need to print my tickets?
    • It is not mandatory to print your tickets, as they can be scanned via the QR code received on the ticket. However, if you wish to print it, you can do so. Think of the planet; do not print it unnecessarily 🌱

 

  • I cannot log into my customer account. What should I do?

 

  • Are there special rates for schools?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking offers preferential rates for school groups. You can consult them in the dedicated section: School Visits

Accessibility and services

  • Is the Cité suitable for children?
    • Yes the Cité Immersive Viking is designed to be suitable for audiences of all ages, with no shocking scenes, making it a perfect experience for families, from 0 to 99 years old.

 

  • Is the Cité Immersive Viking accessible to people with reduced mobility?
    • Yes, the Cité Immersive Viking is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. The Cité Immersive Viking is located on the ground floor and is fully equipped.

 

  • Are animals allowed? 
    • Only guide dogs for the blind are allowed in the Cité Immersive Viking, kept on a harness or leash. Small dogs in dedicated bags may be permitted. The staff of the Cité Immersive Viking may refuse animals that could damage the scenography and exhibition spaces.

 

  • Is my companion dog allowed?
    • Only guide dogs for the blind are allowed in the Cité Immersive Viking, kept on a harness or leash. 

 

  • Can I bring a stroller? Is there a stroller check-in?
    • Strollers are allowed in the Cité Immersive Viking. However, the venue does not have a stroller check-in.  

 

  • Can I leave a bag at the entrance during my visit? Is there a cloakroom or a place to store bags inside the museum?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is equipped with individual code lockers. Visitors can store their personal belongings, coats, and backpacks for a more comfortable visit. 

 

  • Is there a changing table for babies?
    • Yes, the Cité Immersive Viking is now equipped with a changing table for the comfort of families with babies.

  • Will there be Viking workshops at the Cité?
    • Absolutely! The Cité Immersive Viking offers a variety of exciting workshops for the general public.

 

  • Does the Cité Immersive Viking offer special activities for children or families?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking offers several activities under the Workshops tab: Cité Immersive Viking Workshops. The Cité Immersive Viking is accessible for ages 0 to 99. 

 

  • Does the Cité Immersive Viking offer audio guides or smartphone apps for a guided experience?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking does not have audio guides or mobile apps as the visit is self-guided. Many mediation devices are available inside the exhibit to guide you through the experience.
