  • What are the opening hours of the Cité Immersive Viking ?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is open on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM. The Cité Immersive Viking is closed on Mondays.

 

  • Is the experience permanent or temporary ?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking experience is permanent and open all year round, with the exception of the following public holidays: December 25, January 1 and May 1.
  • Do I need to book tickets in advance, and how can I do this?
    • Tickets can be purchased in advance via the online ticketing service: http://cite-immersive-viking.billetterie.museum . Alternatively, you can buy your tickets directly on site, although there is no guarantee that there will be space available.

 

  • Is the Cité suitable for children?
    • Yes, the Cité Immersive Viking is designed to be suitable for audiences of all ages, with no shocking scenes, making it a perfect experience for families.
  • I have tickets purchased from my works council. Do I need to reserve a ticket?
    • If you are in possession of paper tickets via your work council, there is no need to reserve your ticket online. However, remember to check the validity date: if it’s less than a year after the purchase date, your ticket will be valid; if it’s more than a year after your purchase date, then your ticket has expired, and it will be necessary to purchase a new one. If you are in possession of a promotional code, you must book your ticket online, by entering the said promotional code in the corresponding box, on the http://cite-immersive-viking.billetterie.museum website. In case of any errors, please contact the Marketing department.

 

  • Can I pay for my tickets with holiday/culture vouchers?
    • Paying for tickets with holiday/cultural vouchers is not yet possible but will be implemented soon.

 

  • What payment methods can I use to purchase my ticket?
    • The payment methods available are: by credit card, by online transfer, and in cash.

 

  • Are guided tours available, and how can I book one?

 

  • Will there be Viking workshops in the Cité?
    • Absolutely! The Cité Immersive Viking offers a variety of exciting workshops for the general public.

 

  •  Does the Cité Immersive Viking offer any special activities for children or families?

 

  • Does the Cité Immersive Viking offer audio guides or smartphone applications for an audio-guided experience?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking does not provide audio guides or mobile applications as the visit is self-guided. However, numerous mediation devices are available throughout the journey. Let yourself be guided!

 

  • How can I reserve tickets for an event at the Immersive Viking City?

 

  • Is there free admission for certain visitors?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking offers free admission for children aged 0 to 6 inclusively. Proof may be required at the ticket office when the cashier issues the ticket.
    • The Cité Immersive Viking welcomes the caregiver of a person with disabilities free of charge.
    • The Cité Immersive Viking welcomes one accompanying adult for every 8 schoolchildren free of charge.

    • Yes, the Cité Immersive Viking is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. The Cité Immersive Viking is located on the ground floor and is fully equipped.

 

  • Are animals allowed?
    • Only guide dogs are allowed in the Cité Immersive Viking, on a harness or leash. Small dogs in dedicated bags may be allowed. The staff of the Cité Immersive Viking may refuse animals that could potentially damage the scenography and exhibition spaces.

 

  • Is my companion dog allowed?
    • Only guide dogs are allowed in the Cité Immersive Viking, on a harness or leash.

 

  • Can I bring a stroller? Is there a stroller storage service available?
    • Strollers are allowed in the Cité Immersive Viking; however, there is no storage facility at the reception.

 

  • Can I leave a bag at the entrance during my visit? / Is there a checkroom or bag storage area inside the museum?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is equipped with individual lockers with keys. Visitors can store their personal belongings, coats and backpacks in these lockers, making their visit even more comfortable.

 

  • Does the Cité Immersive Viking have on-site parking?
    • Yes, parking is available less than 200 meters from the establishment, at Hangar 106.

 

  • How can I get to the Cité Immersive Viking?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is located on the first floor of Hangar 105 bis (under the coworking space), at the foot of the Guillaume le Conquérant bridge on the left bank of the Seine. It’s a 15-minute walk from the city center.
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is accessible by public transport:
      • Bus: line 33 – “Hangars” stop
      • Metro / Tramway: line T4, “Orléans” or “Belges” stop
      • Boat: Calypso, “Hangars” stop
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is accessible by car, and parking is available for visitors.
    • Paris – Rouen – Le Havre axis: the Cité Immersive Viking is located in the immediate vicinity of the A13 (Sud III) and A150 (Pont Flaubert) motorways.

 

 

FACILITIES: 

 

  • Are there any stores or cafés on site?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is equipped with a boutique at the end of the tour, inside the site, allowing visitors to extend the experience and leave with Viking treasures.
      Several restaurants are available within 50 meters of the Cité Immersive Viking.

 

  • Is there a baby-changing table?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking is not yet equipped with a changing table, but it won’t be long! 

 

  • Where can I find out about special events and temporary exhibitions?

 

  • Are there any reduced rates?
    • Yes, we offer a reduced rate of €12.50 for senior citizens over 65, the unemployed and the disabled, as well as free admission for their companions.

 

  • Can I bring a picnic or lunch to eat on site?
    • The Cité Immersive Viking has no catering facilities, and food is not permitted inside the exhibition.

 

 

ONLINE SERVICES:

 

 

  • Do I need to print my tickets?
    • You don’t have to print out the tickets, as they are readable via the QR Code received on the ticket. However, if you wish to print it, you can do so. Think of the planet, don’t print it unnecessarily 🌱

 

  • The dates I want are fully booked, can I make a purchase on-site?
    • When time slots are fully booked, it is possible to choose another time. The Cité Immersive Viking welcomes visitors with bookable tickets every 15 minutes to streamline entry and avoid queues.
